Auto Assembly 2012 Hilton Room Bookings Update

As you know, we have been given an extension to our block of rooms at the Hilton for Auto Assembly 2012 and we announced this in an email to all of you a couple of days ago. However, it has come to our attention that some of you are still having difficulty in booking your hotel rooms for the convention.

It appears that – while a large number of additional rooms have been allocated to our block – there were issues with the booking for certain days so while some people are not having problems when booking rooms, others are depending on when their arrival date is and this is happening whether you book online using the link we have provided in your confirmation emails or using the group discount code.

The Hilton had investigated this to try to find out what the cause was and it transpired that some of the earlier and later dates in our allocation either side of the convention weekend had sold out, but this has now been rectified and even more rooms have now been added to our block. However, we can offer several booking options for all of you. First, you can use the current system of booking through the Auto Assembly micro-site that the Hilton has established for us. This should be fine for most of you, but some may experience problems depending on the dates that you need.

Secondly, you can visit the Hilton’s main website at http://www.hilton.co.uk and from there you will be able to search for the convention hotel. When it comes to booking your room, enter the Group Code option which we have given to all of our attendees to get our discount rate.

Finally we have given our attendees details of how to contact the hotel directly with details of the Group Code to qualify for the discount rate.

One thing we would like to stress to all of you is that we would advise that you now book tickets for the convention and your accommodation sooner rather than later. While the Hilton does have rooms available at the moment (and will add rooms to our allocation as we sell them), they do have another event taking place the same weekend as Auto Assembly and we don’t want any of our attendees to miss their chance of having a room in the convention hotel! There are other hotels on the NEC complex, but we’re sure that you would rather stay in the convention hotel than have a 5 minute walk or more each night!

Auto Assembly 2012 tickets are selling faster than ever and we are already up over 50% on this point last year and we are looking at this being our first ever sell out year. Don’t leave booking until the last minute and risk being disappointed!
