We were fortunate enough to have been invited to attend the anime convention Kitacon over the weekend of 13th – 15th April 2012 so Simon Plumbe, Simon Skey and Adam Slater went along to represent Auto Assembly and took up residence in the Dealers Room for the weekend promoting the convention and and took the chance to sell a range of Transformers toys and merchandise. Simon Skey also joined one of the convention team to take part in a Transformers Panel discussing the evolution of the toy line from the early Diaclone days…
The convention took place at the Hilton Birmingham Metropole Hotel so it gave us a wonderful opportunity to see the hotel in action prior to Auto Assembly 2012 and we came away from the weekend with plenty of ideas for things that we wanted to introduce for the convention in August and things that we wanted to change or that we thought worked well and wanted to introduce ourselves. It also saw the first public use of our new banners as you can see from the photos below.
We are going to be producing a large number of these banners for use at Auto Assembly 2012 and beyond and if you are interested in sponsoring these so your company name / logo can appear on them, get in touch!
