Hasbro extends order deadline for HasLab Unicron

Unicron

With the deadline to order Unicron fast approaching, it was clear that the HasLab project to release the largest ever Transformer was unlikely to reach its goal. Originally set for 31st August 2019, orders for the $575 toy were several thousand short of the 8,000 minimum needed that would send it into production. Fans who had placed orders were devastated that the toy was unlikely to be made while others outside of the sales areas of the US and Canada were frustrated that they weren’t able to help the project come to fruition.

For many, getting on board with such a huge outlay at stake was a huge risk. With stories of countless Kickstarter campaigns failing, with backers money disappearing without a trace this set alarm bells ringing. Even with a company as large as Hasbro behind it, there was still doubt in the minds of many.  In fact, going online and using a unibet bonus code seemed to be a much safer option so most fans held back and waited to see what developed with Hasbro’s campaign.

However, today (28th August) Hasbro announced an extension to the order deadline. Orders will now be open until 6th October 2019. While the 8,000 order target is still in place and sales are still restricted both regionally and to a maximum of 5 per person, there has been a huge rise in the number of orders. At the time of writing this, there are now just shy of 6,000 pre-orders and it is looking increasingly likely that the toy will enter production.

For those living outside of the US and Canada it will still mean having to resort to the likes of eBay or dealers to obtain the toy, but this is set to be one very special addition to anyone’s collection…
