I've really been getting into Prime to be honest. I've watched about a dozen so far and got another 8 ready to watch but I haven't been disappointed with any of them yet.

I was dreading the series considering that it had the movie creative team behind it, but apart from Bumblebee's inability to talk and the obvious necessity of having human children in it, I've really been drawn to the show.

I remember watching the 5 parter of Prime back to back and comparing it to Revenge of the Fallen, wishing they could have played that in the cinema instead.

Prime is fun so far, Jasmine certainly helps with her US connections to iTunes for me to follow it as they have it, but today Cartoon Network aired the episode.

Noteworthy that they cut Cliffjumper's death scene slightly by avoiding the splatter of energon and Scream's hand plunged into his chest, but understandable perhaps.

I'm looking forward to seeing more as it appears, Tesco have played up their recent new shows on Cartoon Network, perhaps a chance we'll see an increase in their shelfspace for the toys?

The animation does look better on TV than the same clips seen online & at AA [maybe something due to the format]

Projecting anything onto a video screen always makes a picture look fuzzy, no matter what quality the source material is or what resolution the projector is that you are using.

All of the episodes we were showing were in high definition but when they are blown up to over 20 feet in size, it's going to affect the quality.

I think I still have to catch up on a couple of episodes. Can't say I'm really in love with the show, but I enjoy it. I'm looking forward to the second season when apparently they're going to introduce longer storylines.

I very much feel the same way about Prime right now as I did about Animated at this point in it's own series; enjoyable, inoffensive, with a couple of standout characters... but nothing spectacular. The second series will make or break.
Animated wins out for me over this for it's better humour, though.

My favourite is still - and always will be Beast Wars, but right now Prime is coming in second with G1 third. I've only seen one episode of Animated so I can't say much about that, but I'm one of those people who love RiD as well so it's really a close call between that and G1 for me too!

I've enjoyed Prime quite a lot. A different beast from Animated, which is a good thing to be honest.

I do love Animated, but having something samey after it would have been bad.

There have been a few moments in the show that have reminded me of G2, which makes me love it all the more.

Good distinct designs, and Jeffrey Coombs as Ratchet is the standout for me.

What I have seen of Prime I have quite liked - it looks quite nice (sure, they are using a lot of the same assets in terms of locations (those Canyon assets get reused a lot and are a decent method of limiting the draw distance a lot of the time) but that means that they can spend the time animating folk moving about) and there are some decent voice performances. I like the design aesthetic - taking some of the sharp-edged look of the live-action movies but putting the robotymechabits inside the armour where they belong instead of on the outside.

Ratchet is one of the great animated curmudgeons frankly, and I think Coombs is giving a great performance. Quite like Arcee and her irritated-affectionate relationship with her human charge too.

The best human character has to be the Government agent though - takes Decepticons in his stride, is the entirety of the American Governments response to the Transformer problem, can drive any ground vehicle, fly an F-35, fly a uh-1.... Quite a polymath!

I've just finished watching the latest episode of TF Prime, episode 24 and I have to admit I rather enjoyed this one quite a lot. I noticed the detail in the animation has improved so Optimus' battle damage really stands out, also enjoyed the scene where Soundwave was annoying Megatron. Unicron is very impressive, sure his design has changed but I still like it, he still holds his evilness which is the main thing.

What are other people thinking?
