Post Cheating In Games
Quick question for everyone... do you ever cheat or use players / strategy guides when you play games and if so, why?

I use strategy guides/walkthroughs all the time. Because I play RPGs and I mostly play them for the story. I don't really feel the need need to feel smart by figuring out everything for myself. Besides, I play a lot of Final Fantasy games and if you don't use guides, you tend to miss out on a lot of side quests and stuff.

Depends on the difficulty setting in games for me. There are some I have played that have become so frustrating that they are either unplayable or I have lost interest because they are just unfair on average game players (I've never thought of myself as being a top class game player!).

If I can't get past a certain point after playing for days, weeks or however long then I'll either consider getting help somehow, or the game just ends up on the shelf gathering dust.

Yes, but i dont view statedgy guides as cheating.

For instance when i did NWN and NWN 2 i used a guide pretty much the whole way through so i knew what to do.

And i did buy gold in WOW once (i really wanted the flying mount)
