The card has been illustrated by our own in-house artist, Ed Pirrie, and has been generously sponsored by our friends over at Robot Kingdom. It is limited to a print run of just 1,000 copies and the only way you will be able to get this card is if you attend Auto Assembly 2012!

One of the highlights of this year’s goodie bag is going to be our A2 litho print and we have a fantastic sponsorship opprtunity here as well. If there is any interest in the future, we may revive part of the website (which included an archive of legally downloadable retro games) but for now this, Auto Assembly Europe, CT Alpha and our forums will be our main focus.

Tables are just £100 for the weekend and each of our “standard table” packages comprises of three tables five feet wide by two feet six inches in size that can be set out in a number of configurations (1 front and 2 backing, 2 front and 1 backing or all three together as a block) and up to two full weekend staff passes. These table represent fantastic value for money, there is no additional charge for electricity for dealers who are located near power supplies and all dealers will be featured here on the website in our Dealer Directory.

Auto Assembly 2012 is less than three months away and we thought that it was time that we stepped up a gear to let everyone know about the convention! We’ve been making announcements about the event steadily over the last few months and the response and support that we have had from everyone has been phenomenal so far, but we want to make this the biggest and best Auto Assembly ever and – with your help and support – we know that we can!

We wanted to do something different to let everyone know about the convention and to share some more news and updates about the convention and we thought long and hard about what the best way to do it was and decided that there was no better way than the internet! Social Media has become an incredible part of our lives over the last few years and there isn’t anyone out there in the Transformers community that either isn’t a member of a forum, doesn’t use Facebook, Twitter, Youtube or some other part of the internet as part of their everyday life so we’re running this week-long campaign starting today to let the whole world know about Auto Assembly and what we are doing with the convention this year and we want everyone out there to play a part in this and share your excitement and enthusiasm about this year’s convention!

So what’s it all about? Well for the next seven days we want everyone to tell as many people as possible about Auto Assembly 2012! Whether this means posting comments on Facebook, sharing stories and news updates that we post here on the website, re-tweeting our comments on Twitter… anything you can think of really and we want you all to be as creative as you can! Just have fun with it and we’d love to hear what you all get up to! For those of you on Facebook, why not join all of us here at Auto Assembly and change your profile image for the next seven days to our QR code image that we have included here:

If you’re on any Transformers forums, feel free to talk to any of our team who will no doubt be online on all of the major Transformers forums including our own joining in in most of the discussions that will be taking place about the convention and we’ll be on hand to answer any questions you might have. We’ll also be making some announcements about the convention through the website over the coming week so if you want to get this news as it breaks, don’t forget that you can sign up for updates free of charge by subscribing to the site!

For the first time ever, we are proud to announce that we are expanding our use of the convention hotel and our Saturday night programme is relocating to it’s own dedicated hall in the Hilton which is the spacious 800-seater King’s Suite! The hall will be set up for our Script Reading, Cosplay Competition, Karaoke, Jason Cardy’s DJ set and a few other surprises from 7:00 pm Saturday night until the early hours of Sunday morning.

It’s going to make for a much more comfortable evening, plenty of room for everyone and… more importantly, the hall will have it’s own bar exclusively for the use of Auto Assembly attendees!

This means that he is now able to devote more time to the convention and run it more efficiently and respond more rapidly but also means that he needs to control the hours that he “works” on the convention to ensure that it does not interfere with his private life. As such we will now have set hours when we will be working on the convention and responding to telephone calls and emails. These will be:-

Monday – Friday, 9:00 am – 5:00 pm GMT.

Outside of these hours we will not be able to respond to emails, telephone calls or texts unless it is an absolute emergency and we will endeavour to reply to your messages / enquiries on the first available working day. Bookings made during evenings or weekends will also be processed on the first available “duty period”. As the convention draws closer in our “rush” period, we are likely to be working longer hours but please bear in mind that we are not paid for running Auto Assembly and this is done strictly as a hobby and without having the chance to spend time away from running the convention and have time with our families, we would not be able to dedicate the time that we do to Auto Assembly.

You’ll see from the photos that we have the first public use of our new 7-foot tall display banners that we will be using extensively at Auto Assembly 2012. We will be producing a lot more of these shortly which will be in use at Auto Assembly 2012 (and re-used for future years). We have sponsorship opportunities available for these if you are interested in having your company name / logo / website address adding to these.  We have a wide range of artwork available to choose from for potential sponsors and they will be displayed not only all over the convention, but will be taken to other events that we attend throughout the year.

We can now confirm that IDW artist Livio Ramondelli will be making his Auto Assembly debut this year! Livio is the artist of the superb new digital comic Transformers: Autocracy for IDW Publishing. In addition, his credits include Chaos, The Best of Optimus Prime / Best of Megatron trade paperback covers, as well as covers for IDW’s Infestation II event series. He previously worked for WildStorm Productions, doing design work for the DC Universe Online game… and he also really loves movies!

Livio will be joining our other comic artists and writers in our extensive guest area signing autographs and sketching for fans throughout the weekend and he will be taking to the stage on Sunday afternoon alongside Nick Roche and James Roberts for a dedicated IDW Panel.
