With Auto Assembly 2014 just a week away, we wanted to give all of you a heads-up on something that doesn’t usually happen here in the UK, let alone this time of year… There are now strong reports that August is set to be experiencing a wave of incredibly hot weather across the UK, and more specificially is is believed that is it likely to be the hottest August on record. We can’t stress enough that all of you attending the convention take extra care while at the convention. Please make sure that you have plenty to drink over the weekend, wear loose fitting clothing, remember to bring plenty of changes of clothing and please – above all else – remember to make use of the bathroom facilities in your hotel rooms. Remember that there will be well over 800 people at the convention and while we may all get on well with each other, too much intimacy with the body odour of others isn’t really a good thing…!
Importantly, if at any time over the convention weekend you start to feel ill or light-headed, please report to the Control Desk, Registration Desk or one of our Volunteers immediately in the event that you may need first aid treatment. Above all else we want all of you to be safe and to enjoy your time at Auto Assembly 2014.
Finally, please remember to stay cool while travelling to the convention as well so you get to the Hilton safely.
