Auto Assembly 2012 Postcard Set Revealed

As you know, everyone who receives a goodie bag when they attend Auto Assembly 2012 will receive a mixture of gifts just for attending the convention. The goodie bags have been an Auto Assembly tradition dating back to 2003 and it’s been our intention ever since then to make sure that our attendees don’t go home empty handed, even if they don’t buy anything from any of the dealers who are present at the convention! In the past we have been supported by a large number of companies who have donated items for us to give away ranging from CD-ROMs to Playstation 2 discs, posters to comics and even bags of crisps. One thing that has been ever-present since then has been our own series of convention exclusive postcards…

We have been producing these since 2003 and the high quality postcards have featured original artwork commissioned specially for the event by leading fan and professional Transformers artists. In the past we have featured artwork from such talent as Guido Guidi, Andrew Wildman, Nick Roche, Lee Sullivan, Simon Williams and more and this year is no exception… Many of our cards over the years have been produced in collaboration with different sponsors which has allowed us to produce more and more of these exclusive cards every year and the more sponsors we have, the more cards we can produce!

As a sponsor, you will get your company’s name, website address AND logo featured on the rear of a single card which will be distributed to everyone attending the convention. This is a fantastic advertising opportunity as fans frequently get their postcards signed by our guests so they are collectibles that will be kept long after the convention has taken place unlike flyers or other forms of advertising. We have several sponsorship opportunities for the cards open still but time is running out if you want YOUR business featured on one or more of them…

We are giving away the latest four in our series this year and they feature artwork from our in-house artist Ed Pirrie, Titan UK’s artist Kat Nicholson and Marvel UK G1 artist Jeff Anderson. We’re sure that you’ll all love these additions to your collection and if you missed some of the ones from our previous years you’ll be able to pick these up at the convention. As before, all of these postcards are limited to a print run of just 1,000 copies and are only available at Auto Assembly and we can now proudly reveal the artwork for all four cards…

The final card this year (unless we get any last minute sponsorship) is again by Ed Pirrie and features all of our guests of honour this year.

At present, only the Optimus Prime and Bumblebee has been sponsored so if you are interested in sponsoring any of the others, please get in touch. We may have other artwork available to produce additional cards if you can contact before our print deadline so just drop us an email at contact@autoassembly.org.uk

With the convention less than four weeks away, it’s going to be a great weekend!
