Auto Assembly 2012 Hilton Room Booking Update

For those of you attending Auto Assembly 2012, we know that most of you coming along this year will want to book hotel accommodation and will want to take advantage of the fantastic room rates that we have negotiated with our convention hotel, the Hilton Birmingham Metropole. However, with the exception of possibly one or two rooms, the initial block of rooms that have been allocated to us have now sold out. Please bear with us for a few days as the Hilton does have plenty of rooms available in the hotel still and I am urgently trying to arrange for as many of these as possible to be transferred over to us so they can qualify for our discount rate of £50 a night for a single room or £60 for a twin / double. We have already spoken to the Hilton’s reservation’s team and they do not see this being a problem but we also need to liaise with the events department to finalise the total number of rooms we can get for everyone.

If you haven’t already registered for the convention we would strongly recommend that you do so sooner rather than later. Pre-registrants will be sent information on how to book rooms at the Hilton first with their booking confirmation receipts and we would like to take this opportunity to remind everyone that – despite the Hilton being a much larger hotel than we have used in the past for the convention – we are limiting ticket numbers for the convention. Ticket sales are already up 50% on this time last year with many people joining us for the first time and not only do we believe that we will be setting a new European record in 2012 but are looking at the very real possibility of selling out of tickets some time in July!

We will keep you updated on the hotel room situation here, on Twitter and on Facebook but please do not hesitate to get in touch if you have any questions.
