Auto Assembly 2012 Hilton Booking Issue

For those of you who are attending Auto Assembly 2012 in August, it has been brought to our attention that there is a technical glitch with the online room booking system at the Hilton Birmingham Metropole Hotel. So far, it only seems to have affected a small number of people but when some of our attendees have booked their hotel rooms for the convention for a couple of nights, the booking system has substituted the number of nights for the full 12 night duration that the convention discount applies.

Obviously this is causing concern and while it is a problem that has been easily rectified by contacting the hotel’s reservations team directly, it is something that we are working hard to rectify right now. We are talking to the Hilton to ensure that the booking system is repaired as quickly as possible. For those of you who have booked for the convention, you are still able to use the link emailed to all of you to book rooms for the convention, but please make sure that you read every screen carefully as part of the booking process to ensure that all of the information is correct. Also, please ensure that you select the number of days and dates of your stay on the first page of the booking system.

If you have already booked your room and have encountered problems, then we want to know! Please email us at contact@autoassembly.org.uk with your name, your Auto Assembly 2012 ticket number, and the dates that you have booked your room for. We also need to know what web browser you are using and what operating system your computer is running and we can work with the Hilton as quickly as possible to put this right.
