Auto Assembly 2012 – Additional Hotel Rooms Allocated At Hilton

As many of you will know, there have been a few recently issues regarding a shortage of bedrooms at our convention hotel, the Hilton Birmingham Metropole for Auto Assembly 2012. Rooms have been very popular at our discount rate and this has lead to our initial block of rooms selling out almost completely. However, I visited the hotel earlier today and have negotiated for our block to be extended so the Hilton now has plenty of extra rooms available for all of our attendees so if you haven’t already booked your room for the convention, you can now use the weblink in your confirmation emails to book your room at the convention discount rate.

We would recommend that you book your rooms sooner rather than later. The Hilton does have another event taking place the same weekend as Auto Assembly and while they will try to allocate as many rooms as possible to us, they can’t guarantee to give us all the rooms that we need so the sooner you book, the quicker we can get more rooms assigned to us!

For those of you who were unable to book double rooms over the last couple of weeks, more have now been released to us and if you need to change your room to a double, please ring the hotel’s reservations team and they’ll be happy to change your room type over to a double for you.

Finally, for those of you who have been affected by the credit card fraud / identify theft attack upon Botcon / OTFCC in recent months and have had to cancel the credit / debit card that you have used to book your accommodation at the Hilton, please contact the hotel as soon as possible. This will not affect your room booking, but if you can notify the hotel so they will not try to charge an inactive card.

Finally, the latest issue of our new fanzine CT Alpha has just been released and you can get your copy for just £1.25 from the website at www.ct-alpha.com. Proceeds from the sale of this fanzine go directly to Auto Assembly and help with the running costs of the event.

If you have any questions about the convention, feel free to email us or pop over to our discussion forum at https://www.autoassembly.org.uk/forum where we’ll be only too happy to answer any questions or comments you might have about the convention and keep checking on the website for all the latest news and guest updates as well!

Anyway, thanks for booking and we look forward to seeing you all in August 2012.
